Meet Beth
Licensed Professional Counselor
Spiritual Alignment & Authenticity Coach
Hi, my name is Beth Koritz. I am a licensed professional counselor and Spiritual Alignment & Authenticity Coach. I have been a psychotherapist in private practice for ten years and a coach for twelve. I am certified in body-positive psychology, clinical trauma Thought Field Therapy and I am concluding my certification in intuitive eating.
I have written a best-selling book that has garnered glowing reviews internationally. I was a featured speaker at the St. Louis Jewish Book Festival, and I have been featured on several podcasts, and have led many workshops.
My passion is working with clients who feel they have lost pieces of themselves along their journey. They may be completely lost, feeling as if they don’t know who they are or where they should be headed. Or, they feel most comfortable identifying themselves by the roles they play in life; parent, partner, co-worker, etc. They may be transitioning out of college, out of a marriage, into a new relationship, or into retirement. They are ready to do some self-exploration and excited to find their authentic self, perhaps for the first time.
This is where finding my authentic best life has taken me.

But it wasn’t always like this…
When I was younger and checking off the boxes of my checklist life:
-
finish school
-
fall in love
-
get married
-
buy a home
-
have children
-
have a career

I thought I had it made! Check! Check! Check!
But eventually, I found myself stuck, wondering who I am and what direction should my life be going in.
Over the course of 3 decades, I graduated with a BS in communications (after some detours). Got married, had two 2 incredible daughters. As for my career, I have been the director of a summer camp, I’ve co-owned of a restaurant. I have been a luxury home builder. I have been successful in 2 MLMs. I have been a business development coach. And this isn’t the complete list!
I’ve been through numerous health crises – being paralyzed from the neck down, needing to walk around with an oxygen tank, broken back, breast cancer, brown recluse spider bite, just to name a few. And numerous personal challenges – divorce, bankruptcy, ex-husband dating my friend & business partner. You get the drift.
I personally understand what it feels like to not feel like you are living the life you were meant to live.
I know what it is like to feel as if you are putting on a costume to fit in.
I know what it is like to wonder where my next dollar is coming from and knowing I would do (almost) anything to make it happen.
Most importantly, I know what it feels like to know things have to change but being unsure about how to go about changing them or even having an inkling of what I want them to change into!
When I was on life support and had 24 hours a day, for ten days to do nothing but think, I had the epiphany that I was not living the life I wanted to be living.
I wanted to create a life for myself and my family that was truer to the values of my most authentic self.
That's when Authenticity Academy was born!
